Thoughts on the project from the Designer:
When I began working with the given materials from Mend on the Move, I realized pretty quickly that experimentation was the best way to find a design that worked. I played with the auto parts and as I began to find designs that looked aesthetically pleasing, I also found that I wanted to tell a story of hope and rebirth.
The Rosebud has been a symbol of new beginnings and bright futures for long time. When I made this small pod or bud like form, a rosebud was the first thing I knew it could represent. A Rosebud, a beautiful future. (Mend renamed this design Bloom)
I love these ear rings. I can dress them up or down.
I love your jewelry and I love the cause! The brass earring are just too heavy for my ears, bummed.
