Position: Jewelry Maker
Company Description: Mend on the Move is a non-profit social enterprise based in Plymouth, MI. Our mission is to empower and employ women survivors of abuse through jewelry making. By creating unique handmade jewelry, our workers take pride in seeing their creations being admired and sold. We also aim to raise awareness of the injustices that silence and hold captive the women we serve.
Role Description: This is a part-time, on-site role for a Jewelry Maker at Mend on the Move. The Jewelry Maker will be responsible for creating jewelry by learning new techniques utilizing various tools and techniques. Mend on the Move provides a safe place for survivors to work while they are on their healing journey.
In addition to jewelry making and skill building, Mend on the Moves offers a variety of support services. These services include one-on-one support, connection to community resources, a bi-weekly support group, access to relief funding, and an overall supportive environment.
When hired, your identity will remain anonymous to the public in order to ensure your privacy and safety as you join our supportive community.
