More Mending

We want more for our survivor makers. They deserve more. But not just handouts. More in the form of opportunity to look beyond the day to day job. To make life goals. To move forward. To dream and live beyond just surviving or settling.

Our Goal

In 2022, a dream of ours has taken root thanks to grants from 100 Women Who Care Northville and Hope Lutheran Church, as well as many individual supporters, we were able to launch our More Mending program!  We hired a Human Services coordinator and we have developed Mend into a two-year program.

During this two-year period creating jewelry, our coordinator is walking alongside our makers, helping them set goals, both personal and professional, and providing resources, time lines and accountability to achieve them.  Upon completion of the program, they will move on to future aspirations for their lives.

 How can you help?

Jewelry sales help pay our Makers’ wages; but we rely on our community to keep other areas of our program thriving. when you support our More Mending program, you are assisting our survivor makers with services, needs, and aspirations beyond the employment opportunity.
